The Asahi Loft of Harmony, one of the newest lodging choices for visitors in southeast Minnesota, blends a Japanese influence with Amish craftsmanship and some energy-saving conveniences.

Owned by Cindy and Doug Ofstedal, the one-unit loft is in a carriage house on their Harmony property. It features the modern comforts of a remote-controlled gas fireplace and big-screen television but also has some “green” touches.
