Lanesboro Arts is proud to announce the launch of the Performing Artist Engagement Program with a January 15 – 19 residency with musician, poet, letterpress artist, bicyclist and adventure advocate Ben Weaver. Weaver will be participating in engagement events in Lanesboro through the week, all leading up to a SOLD OUT concert with acclaimed roots musician Charlie Parr at the St. Mane Theatre in downtown Lanesboro on Saturday, January 20th at 7:30 p.m. A wait list for the concert will begin in the lobby at 6:30 p.m. the evening of the performance. Any tickets that may happen to become available will be sold at that time.
As an artist that has toured by bicycle around Lake Michigan and the entire length of the Mississippi River, Ben Weaver is exceptionally qualified connect residents with natural spaces, find ways to give back through outreach with seniors and students, and build community through storytelling workshops and exchanges that help awaken greater reciprocity between people and the land.
