Nestled in and around the picturesque village of Lanesboro, this unique community of inns welcomes you to join them in a festive celebration of the season. Come and explore the inns that have made Lanesboro the Bed & Breakfast Capital of Minnesota, all decked out in their Christmas finery. Share in the local history and partake of our innkeepers’ hospitality & gourmet specialties, and register for free drawings. Downtown Lanesboro will be decorated for the holidays, with local businesses featuring special promotions and refreshments. Tickets are limited. Scandinavian Inn - Circa 1892 Queen Anne Victorian built by Norwegian immigrant Ole Habberstad. Ole, who co-owned the Lanesboro Lumber Company, ensured the home had solid construction and wonderful trim work. The Historic Scanlan House - Visit our Victorian Home built by Mike Scanlan all decked out for Christmas. Mr. Scanlan was the Lanesboro banker. He drilled a well on top of the south hill, built an underground storage tank and piped water to his home. |

Habberstad House This restored 1897 Queen Anne Victorian home built by banker Olaf Habberstad retains its original woodwork and is furnished with period antiques. She will be decorated inside and out for the holiday season. Our Dickens Christmas Village will be lit up and our tree hung with vintage hand-crotched ornaments and lights. The Green Gables Inn is located at the heart of the Root River Recreation Trail in southeast Minnesota’s beautiful Bluff Country. Local craftsmen built the blockhouse attached to the Inn in 1929. The original block factory still stands in downtown Lanesboro. |
