Lanesboro, MN August 22, 2019 — The Lanesboro Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the 2020 Lanesboro Visitor Guide Photography Contest. This contest is searching for a high-res digital photograph to be placed on the front and back cover of the 2020 visitor guide in one of three categories drawn from subjects of special interest:

Photographs must be submitted online at http://bit.ly/2ZiCvJd along with the requested information by September 13, 2019. First and second place winners will be chosen by a jury panel. First place prize is awarded the front- and back-page cover of the 2020 visitor guide and a public announcement.  Second place prize is awarded a spot in the 2020 Visitor Guide and a public announcement.

To be eligible, a photograph must have been shot by the contestant in 2019. This date applies to all images in a composite. The contestant certifies that he/she is the sole creator and copyright owner of the submitted photograph. Image composites including HDR and stitched panoramas will be judged as Altered Images. Contestants may submit up to 3 photographs, one for each category. Photographs must be submitted in .jpg format, RGB color space and at least 5,100 pixels wide. Contestant must complete a separate form for each photograph submitted.

Lanesboro Area Chamber of Commerce does not accept photographs submitted through the mail and will not accept more than one contestant per email address. High-quality scans of non-digital photographs are acceptable. Digital photographs should be taken at the highest resolution possible. Photographer owns the rights to the winning photos; however, Lanesboro Area Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to use the images for marketing purposes until December 31, 2024.
