Best place to stay in the region if you want a high level of hospitality and comfort. I was stopping to trout fish the area on the way back from Ohio to home and stayed at the Green Gables. I couldn't make the 7 pm checking because a snow storm slowed my progress, and they were wonderfully accommodating. Literally left the key under my door matt and left the light on. I have never had a hotel do that for me and I travel a lot. The room was very clean and comfortable and exactly what was pictured on their website, so NO SURPRISES. Even a view of the river and bluffs. Beds were soft and comfortable. So good I decided to suffer the snow and stay another night to fish. The owners are wonderful people. I'll be back!
