We make the short trip from Rochester to this area often and we were surprised to find the Whalan Depot just off the bike trail in Whalan. What a neat little place with treats, ice cream, handmade candles, lots of gift items, and the owner is so friendly and helpful. We took the bikes back to Lanesboro and drove a few miles down the road again just so we could carry back all of our finds. It is a real gem of a find in the area and we recommend stopping in!
