Lanesboro Sylvan Park

Lanesboro Sylvan Park

Established in 1881, Sylvan Park is an 11.5-acre park in the heart of Lanesboro, surrounded by the scenic bluffs of southeastern Minnesota. The park features two spring-fed, trout-stocked ponds, a playground, picnic shelters, a campground, restrooms, and tennis, basketball, and sand volleyball courts.

Sylvan Park is a favorite gathering place for community celebrations, concerts, weddings, and signature events such as Buffalo Bill Days, Art in the Park, and the Rhubarb Festival. The park also hosts the Lanesboro Farmers Market on Saturdays from May through October, featuring fresh produce and locally made goods.

Located between the Lanesboro Community Center and the school, the park is also near the historic 1868 stone dam, which continues to divert water to Lanesboro's downtown hydroelectric plant.
