Description
Learn how to turn Christmas ornaments. Examples of ornament designs that may be turned during class include a snowman icicle, an old fashion Christmas light bulb, a small Christmas tree and a small candle. We will also work on a Christmas icicle. These ornaments will be using spindle turning tools, specifically skew, spindle gouge and parting tool. You are encouraged to bring your own tools, if you have them. Wood will be supplied, but you may bring your own if you so desire. The best wood for these ornaments are 1” diameter wooden dowels cut to 8-12” long. Wood should be dried. Note: Class size is limited to 7. All class participants will need a full face shield.
