    Job Description
    Job Summary: Our start-up restaurant, scheduled to open in May 2020, is looking for an experienced Bartender who is familiar with a wide variety of drink recipes, has better than average wine knowledge and is capable of delivering superb customer service. The Bartender will be responsible for serving patrons at our main bar and fulfilling drink orders for dining customers, monitoring the cash drawer at the bars and performing alcohol inventories at the end of each night to help in maintaining proper inventory levels.     Job Requirements
    • Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each client and maintain a safe environment by identifying any problem clients and having them removed
    • Greet customers as they enter the establishment
    • Mix all drinks based on the serving sizes directed by the company to manage drink costs
    • Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
    • Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally
    • Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar and in the dining room satisfied at all times
    • Take beverage orders from guests
    • Ensure timely delivery and presentation of food and beverages to guests
    • Suggest additional menu items to compliment a guest’s meal
    • Use Point of Sale system and count customer change, as needed
    Minimum Qualifications
    • High school diploma/GED required, or related experience
    • 2+ years’ experience as a Bartender in the restaurant/bar industry
    • Ability to serve alcoholic beverages
    • Ability to work well with all personality types
    • Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instruction independently
    • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations correctly
    • Ability to perform light physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for an 8-hour shift
    • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
    • Able to work as part of a team in a busy atmosphere
    • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to multi-task and coordinate activities in pressing situations
    • Good time management skills to complete tasks and meet set targets
    • Must be creative and proactive in attending to the various needs of customers
    • Basic computer knowledge
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Certification as a mixologist from a reputable bartending school
    • Wine certifications
