About Us

Root River Rod Co. is your complete outfitter for fishing the “Driftless Region” of Southeast Minnesota. We carry fly and spinning rods, reels, lines, flies, accessories, and apparel. We also have a large selection of fly tying supplies and tools. In addition, we build custom split cane bamboo fly fishing rods and have a large collection of vintage fly fishing rods and reels. Most important, we have the information on the fishing and the gear you need to have success on the water.

Classes will be starting soon in fly tying, fly casting, and bamboo rod building. We always have a vice set up so come on in and show us your favorite flies.
